Inter Milan boss Simone Inzagi has confirmed that Denzel Dumfries and Piotr Sielinsky will skip tomorrow’s match against Bayern Munich.
Speaking at a conference via Fcinternews, the 49-year-old provided the final fitness update with his team.
Lautaro Martinez and David Frattesi helped ensure each other the advantages of the 2-1 First Parliament in Munich.
However, the work is only half completed, and the Bavarians are determined to arrive in San Siro and enact a revenge for Nerazzuri.
Therefore, Inzagi’s accusations must proceed with great care as they are aiming for another season in which they have won the treble.
Meanwhile, Inzagi welcomed his team’s performance in the first leg.
“We have a great deal of pride in how the seasons unfold, more than nervous,” he said.
“Tomorrow we have to forget about the outcome of our first leg, but it’s not the great performance we put in.
“We moved the ball well and defended when necessary.
“But I know that the quality of the opponent is very high.
“You need to perform well with strength and correct attitude. Aggression is very important.”
Fatigue has become a problem for Intel, with high stakes fixes coming every three days.
However, Inzagi claims he and his players are well equipped to address these challenges.
“Mukhitaryan already gave good answers about fatigue,” he added.
“We know it’s a tough season, but playing every four days actually helps.
“This new Champions League format has brought updated energy to everyone.
“I qualified last November, and this year I had to wait until January 29th.
“Yes, there’s more fatigue, but also satisfaction.
“We know we are against a very strong team and want to continue.
“It’s not just for the budget and wages, but for the players and coaches.”
Inter Milan’s Simone Inzagi offers fitness updates for Denzel Dumfries and Piotr Zielinski ahead of the Bayern Munich collision
With Denzel Dumfrey injured, Inzagi had to look to Matteo Darmian to fill the gap on Munich’s right wing.
The lack of pace often saw Italian veterans fighting during the attack phase.
Unfortunately, the Dutch star remains on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.
“Bayern is a great team, along with the coaches I admire as a player and prove to be very smart as a manager,” Inzagi continued.
“He is given the solid Bayern principles, they press well and have a lot of talent.
“You need to be technically sharp to keep the ball as fast as possible.
“That will be even more difficult tomorrow as their press is at the top level.”
However, Federico Dimarco is back in full fitness and could potentially return to the starting lineup tomorrow.
“Yesterday he was doing well like Carlos Augusto, Zarevsky and Fratesi.
“Dunfries and Zielinsky are still out, along with Correa, who aren’t on the list, and should be available to everyone else.
“It’s not easy to play every 48-72 hours, and I’d like to make Dumfries and Zielinski available tomorrow.
“Looking back at Atalanta, things improved when we became 14 players.
“I really want to go back because I want to make my own choice, not based on injuries.
“We have split the difficulties, and I don’t use it as an excuse because all the teams face them.
“But that’s also due to the strength of this year’s Champions League. We had to prepare eight different opponents.
“Because the qualifications are only secured in late January, it was a sacrificed and caused some more problems than usual.”
Simone Inzagi previews Bayern Munich match

Looking back at Inter’s first leg show, Inzagi said:
“There were moments when I could become more aggressive without the ball.
“Owned, we could have bypassed their press and we could have become more clinical.
“There was a situation where we could do better, and hopefully we would do that tomorrow.
“We should not think about results or past encounters that are not always positive about Bayern Munich.
“Players are mature. Teams know what to do. We know we’re facing great opponents.
“We respect them, but we can perform great with the right focus.”
Inzagi later confirmed that Intel was practicing training penalties.
“It’s always part of preparing a two-legged tie,” he added. “Five alternatives have given us more attention.”
Meanwhile, he discussed the possible impact Thomas Muller had after scoring in Munich.
“He scored in the first leg and had a great match against Dortmund, but we know what Bayern is.
“The Sane was stopped on the first leg, but they still had gnabry or coman.
“It’s a team full of talent and offensive players. It needs another great performance and you need to build what you did in Munich.”
Inzaghi opens with contract renewal

It’s only a matter of time before Inzaghi puts his pen on paper about his new deal at San Siro.
“I’m very pleased with the inter. It will always be the most important factor in the decision,” he said.
“However, it seems it is not appropriate to talk about my future or the league on the eve of a Champions League game.
“That being said, I always made it clear that I feel good here and have a great relationship with the club.
“At the end of the season, we’ll talk about everything and everything.”
Finally, he praised him for being the first team to beat Bayern in the grassy Champions League in four years.
“It was certainly the first leg that was played very well,” he insisted.
“But when it comes to two-legged tie, you need to be careful. If it were the end, I would have said something else.
“We did very well there considering Bayern wasn’t losing at home in four and a half years.
“We are happy, but it was just our first leg.
“In 24 hours, we need to deliver another great performance against the world’s most powerful team alongside Real Madrid.”
