New details show that Sandro Tonali is recommending an illegal gambling website to former Milan teammate Alessandro Florenzi, but Nicolo Fagioli has recommended unauthorized poker websites for Nicolo Zaniolo among other things.
Details have been made clear from deposits involving Italian international Sandro Tonali and Nicolo Fagioli before the respective ban due to their involvement in gambling activities banned in 2023 and 2024.
It turns out that both players are betting on soccer matches. Tonari also included games that he had involved with. This is prohibited for all football players. Tonari was given a 10-month ban and Fagiori was given seven, ending the 2023-24 season early.
A report on Friday confirmed that 13 players are under investigation for alleged involvement in prohibited gambling practices. Tonali and Fagioli remain under investigation, but don’t risk any further punishment given that they already have banned them.
There is no evidence to suggest that any of the other players named in the survey have placed their bets on soccer.
What Tonari and Fagiori said about their teammates while they were betting

Meanwhile, documents achieved by ANSA provide further information on deposition involving Tonari and Fagiori before the ban.
Tonari spoke to the prosecutors to the players who spoke about illegal gambling sites and revealed that he was recommending illegal platforms to his then-Milan teammate Alessandro Fronti.
“I was the one who let him create an account,” Tonari said during his deposition that he reported through La Gazzetta delo Sports.
He also provided more details about some of his other teammates. “Zaniolo said he only played blackjack, poker and casinos. I played poker on the platform, and (Matia) Perrin, Pietro Marinoni and Zaniolo did that too.
Meanwhile, Fagioli revealed that during his deposition he had recommended certain locations to Nicolo Zaniolo.

“I showed Zaniolo an illegal site that places online bets in roulette and poker. I won’t get anything and he didn’t use my account,” Fagiori said.
Meanwhile, Calciomercato.com suggests that Fagioli has bet the site on Atalanta’s Raoul Bellanova and recommended the bet on Juventus players Carlo Pinsoglio and Federico Gatti. The latter two are not under investigation.
